I ordered the bath towel, hand towel and fingertip towel and was pleasantly surprised at the size of each towel. The bath towel is a full body towel. I am 5'4" and the bath towel goes from my nose to my feet and is very wide...I almost compare the size to a regular beach towel. The hand towel is almost as big as a regular size "cheapie" bath towel (not quite though and you could NOT get away with ordering hand towels and using them as bath towels but they are definitely much larger than a standard hand towel) and the fingertip towel is the size of a regular hand towel. Most fingertip towels I've ever bought were not much bigger than a standard washcloth. You could not use the fingertip towel as a washcloth, it's much too large.
The towels each have embroidery on the bottom which is the same material that is on the comforter, curtains, etc. They are not cheap looking towels by any means. Very fancy "show" towels. This picture makes the towel appear white, they are not. They are definitely a creamy/light khaki-goldish color...it matches the background of the townhouse pattern on the comforter. They are NOT white.
I would have given the towels 5 stars but feel they could have been a bit thicker and softer and "smoother" for the price...even though I got the set for less than 50% of original retail price! They are much "loopier" than I thought they would be because of the price. They aren't plush, you can see the loops on the towel. Because of the material and embroidery on the bottom of the towels, I would not use them as every day towels - it looks like if you washed them frequently, they wouldn't look so nice on the bottom. I feel they are more of a "show" towel. They look nice hanging all together.Get more detail about Croscill Townhouse Bath Towel.
